About

mumandemilydrawing.jpgHi and welcome to my little corner of the world, a small, bushy township in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Ian and I have lived here for twenty-eight of our thirty happy years of marriage, in a house that started small, but which we’ve extended a number of times to accommodate our growing family – consisting of three biological, two adopted and numerous fostered children.

I’d like to share with you just a glimmer of what it’s like to be a foster family and how we meet the challenges of our kid’s special needs (which at any time can include ADHD, Tourettes, FASDs and the repercussions of trauma and disrupted attachment) .

Hope you enjoy the journey, especially if you’re embarking on fostercare or adoption yourself.
